St Clare of Assisi Hidden Figures Role Play

Today the children in St Clare took on the roles of the brilliant, female mathematicians, computers and scientists who worked for NASA during the Space Race in the 1950s and 1960s. They faced discrimination due to sexism and racism BUT this did not prevent these determined, resilient women from successfully creating the essential programming which allowed rockets to be launched into space and eventually to the Moon.
